Founder of the Youth Orchestra of Maracaibo. In 1983 she moved to Caracas and entered by audition to the Youth Orches- tra of Venezuela “Simón Bolívar”, also to the Chair of the outstanding Pro- fessor José Francisco del Castillo, at the Latin American Academy of Violin. She has completed courses with the distinguished Masters: Yossi Zivoni and Margaret Pardee and participated in national and international festivals of Violin. For 19 years she has worked as a professional violinist in the Youth Orchestra of Venezuela “Simón Bolívar”.
She has participated as Musical Director and Teacher in Colombia, forming the Youth Orchestra of the Department of Antioquia; also in Venezuela, at the Conservatory of Mu- sic “Simon Bolivar”, which was dedicated to the education of students, who have been worthy of awards and recognition nationally and internationally. She was founder of the National Children’s Orchestras of Venezuela and Initiation Musical Pre-K System: CEAC (Specialized Training in Strings Area), covering a Special Program of Music Education for children aged between 2 and 6 years.
For 15 years she developed her career as Director of Children’s Academic Center Montalbán (See Metropolitan Children’s Or- chestras) belonging to the National System of Youth and Children Orches- tras of Venezuela in Caracas. Susan Siman recently headed a music pro- gram at the Doral Conservatory and at the Miami Music Project, both es- tablished in South Florida. Also, serves as an international consultant in the field of music education in countries like U.S.A, Colombia, Italy, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, Korea, Puerto Rico, Russian, Brasil, Geneva, France and Mexico. Has two GRAMMY NOMINATIONS.
